Leandra studied vocal performance at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
In 2016 Leandra had the honor of singing backup vocals for the legendary Debbie Sledge at the Standard Jazz club in Copenhagen during her artist residency.
During the same time, Leandra headlined her own residency at The Standard jazz club called 'The Late Night Soul Sessions' with Ken Linh Doky for several weeks.
Later that year she was invited back to perform her own main stage residency during peak concert hours at the Standard for a Nat King Cole Tribute with jazz legends Alvin Queen and Neils Lan Doky.
In the following years, as a member of the Neils Lan Doky International Jazz Collective; Leandra participated in the Vinter Jazz and Autumn Jazz fest at the national museum of Denmark in 2017. She then headlined shows the following years participating in The Copenhagen Jazz festival in 2018 and 2021. During these concerts Leandra payed tribute to the queen of jazz, Ella Fitzgerald.
Leandra has received some outstanding press throughout the years surrounding her independent releases. Her music has been reviewed by Afropunk, Vibe Magazine and more.
In 2020 Leandra was part of the " You sang my song" segment on Glamour Magazine's youtube channel. Where legendary aritst Alicia Keys reacted to her cover of "You don't know my name".
Leandra has been releasing music independently since 2013 and continues to do so in order to build her following and music catalog.
